A TOTAL of 867 miles of hard cycling has amounted to a combined total of over 1,600 for two charities.
Clare Thompson, 48, and Ben Stapleton, 20, who are personal trainers in Saffron Walden, amassed the total during a week-long static cycle outside their employers Wilburs Gym.
They will split the money raised down the middle, meaning 812 each for the Help for Heroes charity and Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre.
Clare said: “It was a tough challenge, but well worth it. We are delighted with the total and we want to thank everyone who helped and donated.”
The distance was the equivalent of cycling between every capital city in the UK.
