Saffron Walden County High School has announced the dates for its second Saffron Walden Music Festival.
The event will be held in the fantastic Saffron Hall on March 1 and 2, 2014.
It follows the inaugural event held last year, which proved to be a huge success.
Entries for 2014 are welcome at all levels, from beginners upwards, from any student attending a Saffron Walden school or feeder primary school, regardless of whether they receive lessons at school or not.
The festival has a competitive element, but its main focus is on the opportunity to perform and receive a valid adjudication, in a relaxed atmosphere.
David Emberson, of event sponsors Mullucks Wells, said: “We are extremely happy to support this wonderful festival which offers so much opportunity for young musicians. The standard of all the students from beginners to more experienced players is a great inspiration to all and I look forward to this year’s finals.”
