Deer put down after car accident near Saffron Walden

A deer had to be humanely destroyed after it was seriously injured after a collision with a car.
The accident was on Walden Road, Great Chesterford around 7.30am this morning (Wednesday, October 21).
Police held up the morning traffic on the road, leaving and entering Saffron Walden.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called to the incident and found the animal was badly hurt. There are specialists in the county who deal with this kind of accident.”
