RESEARCHERS at the University of Hertfordshire are looking to collect memories and experiences of the women and staff who joined the innovative school at Gorsefield House in Stansted Mountfitchet in 1971.

During the three-week period, 19 girls from London, aged 11-13, had the opportunity to experience new things and open their eyes to a new way of life.

Activities encouraged physical exercise and coordination, while the aim was to provide a positive environment to develop emotional well-being.

Researchers would like to hear from anyone who went to the school who would like to share their memories, or anyone who knows somebody who did. For more information, call Ruth Towell on 01707 286390 or email r.towell@herts.ac.uk
