Firefighters have rescued an 84-year-old disabled man from his car after it became submerged in flood water.
A fire crew from Saffron Walden and the Swift Water Rescue team were called to Ashdon Road at about 11.30am this morning (Friday).
The pensioner was trapped in his car in 12 inches of flood water. Firefighters used water rescue equipment to rescue the man by 12.30pm.
