A diminutive dog has been rescued after getting its head stuck in a pipe.

Stansted firefighters were called to Cambridge Road, Ugley, at 1.15pm today after Jack Russell Roo got his head stuck while chasing a rat into a pipe.

Leading firefighter Peter Cracknell said: “We believe Roo had been ratting and got himself in deeper than he expected.

“He was very relieved to be out and enjoyed a good drink. Fortunately he had no injuries.”
