A man suffered a serious neck injury when his car crashed off the M11 near Saffron Walden last night (Wednesday).
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was scrambled to the northbound carriageway near junction 9 close to Ickleton at 7.55pm after a dark coloured Ford Fusion left the road.
A 29-year-old man suffered a serious neck injury and was in a serious condition. He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, where he remains in a stable condition.
Officers are appealing for witnesses who saw the crash, or the car beforehand.
