Duxford Advent Market set to be bigger than ever before
PUBLISHED: 08:29 27 November 2018
The Duxford Advent Market is a festive German-style event selling a variety of Christmas-themed wares and crafts to help everyone get into the mood for celebration.
Founded in 2011, the aim of the market is to provide a fun evening for everyone in the true spirit of a traditional Christmas, as most villages and small towns in Germany do.
The event will be held in and around the redundant medieval church of St John’s from 4-8pm on December 8.
The market hosts a wide variety of craft stalls, food, glühwein and entertainment, as well as a visit from Father Christman, who takes stocking orders in his grotto. There will be stalls inside and out, a hog roast, story-telling, hula hoop lessons, a giant raffle, and more.
The market is sponsored by local organisations and businesses, including AngliaEAR Hearing Clinic, Peasgood and Skeates and Welch’s Transport Ltd.
