A HIGH-flying exhibition has reached the finals of an annual competition to find the country's favourite lottery-funded project.

The AirSpace exhibition at Imperial War Museum (IWM) Duxford has been shortlisted for the title of 'Best Education Project' at the National Lottery Awards.

Museum director Richard Ashton said: "We are thrilled to have reached the finals of The National Lottery Awards and very much hope that the public will get behind us and show their support."

AirSpace is an exhibition that tells the story of British and Commonwealth aviation and celebrates a rich military and civilian heritage.

Since the pioneering days of flight, Britain and the Commonwealth have played a major role in the field of aircraft development.

The Aircraft Hall contains over 30 historic aircraft, including military and civil models.

Public voting for the finals closes at midday on Friday August 8 and the winning projects will be announced at a special awards show live on BBC One on Saturday August 30. Vote at www.lotterygood causes.org.uk/awards
