EASTER fun was the order of the day at RA Butler Schools' egg-decorating competition last Friday.

The children were invited to decorate a hen's egg with paint, ribbons, wool or anything else they could think of!

The Friends of R.A Butler Schools, who organised the competition and provided the prizes, had a hard time judging the entrants as there were so many, of such a high standard.

A spokesman said: "We were so impressed by how creative the children were. We saw eggs with feathers, sequins and glitter; one was even painted with nail varnish for a lovely shiny finish. They were real works of art!
