Presents for Parents, the annual favourite at RA Butler Academy, went ahead as usual even with the challenges of Covid this year - the PTA braved the weather and took it outdoors for two days.
The children loved picking a surprise gift for their parents. The PTA also provided the children with the opportunity to enjoy a virtual panto complete with a chocolatey treat to get them into the Christmas spirit.
Headteacher Emma Vincent said: “Our PTA have been truly wonderful this year. They have come up with so many creative ways to raise funds and provide enjoyment for our children during this most challenging of years, from a virtual Camp Out in the summer to a Christmas treasure hunt for the holidays.
"I’d like to extend an enormous thank you to them all, and in particular to our chair Luciana, for the enthusiasm, innovation and commitment they bring to our school community."
Children within the community can get involved with the treasure hunt. Details at http://www.rabutleracademy.org.uk/community/noticeboard/
