Children at St Thomas More Catholic Primary School in Saffron Walden had a Screen Free Friday and spent the day being creative before the break for half term.

Students who are learning at home during the lockdown, and keyworker children who are at the school, had a range of options to select from as a change of pace to the term's screen based lessons.

They included making dens, creating dragons eyes and rainbows and forming hedgehogs out of clay.

Some residents in Saffron Walden care homes also received a nice surprise, as a benefit from the time being creative, as students made Valentine kindness cards which were then delivered locally.

The students were also encouraged to be active and take movement breaks. In the recent snow they enjoyed being outdoors during break time, as these pictures show of them having fun in the snow.
