The winning candidate in the Hatfield Easter and The Rodings ward for Uttlesford District Council is deputy leader Susan Barker.
Councillor Barker, who was appointed deputy leader last July, was elected for a fifth term. She said: “I’m happy my husband Graham was re-elected in Dunmow.
“My son Thomas Flack just lost out in Hatfield. My other son Matthew Flack got in at Chelmsford. Three out of four can’t be bad we will have a group meeting for the Conservatives in my house next week.”
