There were more than 100 lightning strikes in Uttlesford last weekend as storms lashed the district.
A spokesman for the Met Office said there were 31 flashes in the hour between 11pm and midnight on Friday, July 3, and another 81 between midnight on Friday and midnight on Saturday, making 112 in all. There were no reported incidents of anyone being hurt.
