Members of Elsenham WI will be known by a different guise after changing their name.
The group will now be known, informally, as The Gilbey Girls and have also launched a new website and logo.
Members changed the name to capitalise on their social media sites on Facebook and Twitter and represent the history of the village.
The name is linked to the Gilbey family. Sir Walter Gilbey was associated with the village for most of his life and he and his brother set up a wine business. They then developed the business to distil Gilbey’s Gin.
Member Carol Cramer designed and built the website, which provides details about the group and her daughter Catherine designed the new logo, based on a jam jar used as a cocktail glass.
