Some 70 children and their families took part in the annual Christmas Craft Afternoon at The Chesterfords Preschool at the Chesterfords Community Centre on Sunday.
The children made festive crafts to take home, including reindeer food, wreaths, a Christmas pudding card, flower-pot Rudolphs, stained ‘glass’ and salt dough decorations. They also enjoyed festive face painting, a lucky candy cane game, refreshments and a raffle with prizes donated by several businesses in and around Saffron Walden. When asked which was her favourite craft, Sophia aged five, said: “I loved ALL of them.”
The event raised over £665 for the preschool. Spokesman Tiffany Drake said: “We would like to thank everyone who gave prizes, helped organise and run the afternoon and came along to support it.”
