COMMUNITY groups are being urged to cash in on a small fund scheme to help with projects.
The Essex County Council-run Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) is designed to fund local projects for the benefit of the community, with a funding pot of £1.7m per year to hand out to worthy causes which apply.
The CIF supports community projects that: create procure or develop new community assets; enhance existing community assets; and enhance or develop initiatives that strengthen a community.
Any local groups can show an interest in applying for funding. The final date for expressions of interest to be submitted for the next round of funding is August 30. The closing date for applications is September 27.
