A survey which could help shape the future of Essex's environment will close tomorrow (Tuesday, May 4).

Essex County Council's Climate Action Commission consultation opened on March 16.

It asks residents to share their views about environmental issues such as energy, transport, waste, and adapting to an already changing climate.

The survey is run by the Essex Climate Action Commission, chaired by Lord Randall.

Lord Randall said: "We would urge Essex residents to take part in the consultation before it closes on May 4.

“This is a great opportunity for residents to give the Commission their views on what is such an important topic, and one that we are taking very seriously in Essex.”

The commission was set up in May 2020 to help Essex become a net-zero county by 2050.

The results of the consultation are due in Summer 2021.
