Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is warning residents to stay safe after strong winds caused a string of incidents.
Since midnight crews from across the county have been called to at least a dozen incidents caused by the high winds. Firefighters have mainly been called to electricity cables that have come down in roadways, trees knocked down and TV aerials displaced by the high winds.
