THIEVES have taken 10,000 worth of items from a church.
THIEVES have callously raided a 700-year-old church by smashing through one of the ornamental stained glass windows and taking items worth up to 10,000.
St Mary’s Church in Radwinter is regarded as one of the centre points for the whole village, but the community has been left shocked after criminals struck between noon on May 9 and 9.30am on May 11.
The 800 window was smashed and then items, including two oak chests, an oak table and a silver Tabernacle, were stolen from the Walden road facility.
Essex Police have urged any witnesses to the theft to call 0300 333 4444 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
