A MAN has been freed by firefighters after a serious crash on the M11 at lunchtime today (April 12).
Crews from Newport, Saffron Walden, Cambridge and Stansted were called to the crash, which involved a single vehicle, at around 1pm.
They had to first stabilise the vehicle, located on the side of the motorway between junctions eight and nine, before using specialist cutting equipment to free a man who was trapped inside.
The casualty was removed from the wreckage within half an hour and left in the care of ambulance service paramedics.
