CONSERVATIVE MPs from across Essex, including Saffron Walden’s Sir Alan Haselhurst, held a briefing meeting at the House of Commons with the county’s new police and crime commissioner Nick Alston.
Mr Alston gave a summary of his plans and priorities for better policing and stressed the importance he attached to regular contact with the public.
He will hold a series of public forums covering each police district to be sure he is aware of local priorities and MPs will repeat their meeting with Mr Alston at regular intervals.
