BURGLARS raided two Saffron Walden homes, stealing thousands of pounds worth of electrical equipment and jewellery, overnight last Monday.
Thieves broke into a house on Station Road between 10.15pm and 7.30am the next morning and stole about �700 worth of goods.
Police are unsure how the thieves gained entry to the property and no damage was caused during the break in. However, electrical equipment, jewellery and cash were all taken.
Over the same time period, a house on Debden Road was broken into by thieves who gained access by smashing a pane of glass in the front door.

More than �2000 worth of goods was stolen including a laptop computer, two digital cameras, household items, cards, documents and a small amount of cash.
