Staff and pupils at an Essex primary school are celebrating after receiving a Good in their Ofsted inspection in September.

Henham and Ugley Primary and Nursery School were inspected under the new Ofsted framework, having previously been found to be Requiring Improvement following a visit from the education regulator in 2013.

The report, which was published in November, said that the school improvements were the result of strong leadership and governance, and that there is an “unquestionably positive ethos the minute you come in”.

Headteacher Sue Giles said: “I am absolutely delighted by the result. The report recognises the progress we have made over the past two years through the super teamwork of all staff, pupils, governors and parents.”
