A MOTHER and daughter will provide the music for the next Lunchtime Concert in St Mary's Church, Saffron Walden.

The family affair will include music for flute, piano and trumpet.

Seventeen-year-old Emma, a pupil of Saffron Walden County High School, studies the trumpet with Andrew Malcolm and passed grade eight at the age of 14. She is a member of St Mary's brass ensemble and a former head chorister.

At school she is a member of the orchestra, jazz band and concert band.

Emma has passed grade eight on the piano with distinction and also plays the flute, clarinet and saxophone.

Wendy was, until recently, a peripatetic piano and flute teacher, but now teaches privately. She has accompanied many choirs and soloists throughout Essex and Cambridgeshire and plays the flute in a number of ensembles.

The Lunchtime Concert takes place on Wednesday July 22 at 1.10pm, with sandwiches available on sale from 12.30pm.
