NEARLY 80 children and their parents were given a licence to get messy and have lots of creative fun at The Chesterfords Pre-School Christmas art and craft afternoon at the weekend.
The annual event raises much needed funds for the pre-school which provides a valued facility for the local community.
Lisa Gray, of the pre-school committee, said: “This year we raised a fantastic 600 for the pre-school. We hugely appreciate the support given to this event by local people and particularly want to thank the parent volunteers and pre-school staff who ensured the event ran smoothly.
“We hope that everyone who took part enjoyed the chance to show off their creative side and get legitimately messy at the same time!”
This year’s fun activities saw children making calendars, Christmas cards and photo frames, together with painting salt dough decorations and glittering fir cones to hang on their Christmas trees. Icing cookies and face painting were among the other activities that took place.
