Pupils represented different countries, voicing their nation's opinions and debating responsible consumption and how society can construct a sustainable future.

The conference's secretary general, Elliot Reeve, said: “MUN has taken me to conferences in the Netherlands and Greece. This multidimensional perspective has been invaluable in providing a well-rounded and holistic view of how to engage in political discourse.”

There were a variety of debates which covered topics such as access to water and the management of food distribution.

Felsted's conference organiser, Rebecca Purdy said; “In 10 years I too have learned a lot from the debates students have taken part in.

“I don't know the answers to all the questions raised, but I do know that they are always worth asking and debating.”
