CINEMA enthusiasts will be interested to hear that Saffron Screen is putting on a film course, starting later this month.

The four-week course will provide lovers of film with an insight into the development of film acting, the skills necessary to analyse different cinematic techniques and the chance to compare and discuss different versions of the same film by different directors.

The classes run from 7pm to 9pm over four consecutive Wednesdays, beginning on May 14. A film screening on Monday June 9 is also included, followed by a final discussion session on June 11.

All sessions take place in the Saffron Walden County High School. The total cost for the course, which will be tutored by the highly qualified Trish Shiel, is £60.

Pre-booking is essential and places are strictly limited, so contact the Saffron Screen box office on 07786 463861 or Saffron Walden Tourist Information Centre on 01799 524002 to secure your place.
