FIREFIGHTERS were called to a beauty salon after a blaze broke out at around 7.30pm on yesterday evening (Sunday).

Two crews from Saffron Walden extinguished the fire at Manhattan Nails on the High Street by 8.13pm.

The shop was smoke logged and crews wore breathing apparatus. A thermal image camera was used to check for any remaining hotspots.
