Firefighters attended a vehicle fire near Stansted on the M11 yesterday (Sunday).
Four crews from Saffron Walden, Newport and Stansted were sent to the southbound carriageway between junctions 7 and 8 at 3.46pm.
Fencing along the verge also caught fire.
The fire was extinguished by 4.30pm.
