FIREFIGHTERS freed a motorist left trapped when a mini cab left the road and ended up on its side in a field.
It is believed the car hit a patch of black ice.
The incident happened on the B184 near Littlebury at around 1.20am on Sunday morning (March 24).
Two crews from Saffron Walden used cutting equipment to release the man by around 2.30am.
