Firefighters have helped pump water from a cellar of Audley End House.
Two crews from Saffron Walden were called at 12.36pm to the historic building after two rooms in the cellar became flooded with around 30cm of water in each.
The crews used a portable pump to take the water out of the cellar. They were finished by 1.39pm.
They were then sent to Abbey Lane, Saffron Walden, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
