The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) has called off its planned national strike for tomorrow (Saturday).
Crews were due to be on strike between 6.30-11.30pm in a protest over Government pension reforms but action has just been withdrawn.
A spokesman for Essex Fire and Rescue Service said: “This has come about as a result of negotiations between the government and the union. Everything is now back to normal for tomorrow evening.”
No-one was available from the FBU for comment.
