Around 20 firefighters are currently tackling a large fire on Grange Road in Ickleton.

Crews were called at 12.31pm today to a well-developed fire involving a combine harvester that has spread to standing crops.

Firefighters are tackling the fire using hose reels and are being supported from local farmers.

At 3pm, crews remain at the field fire working hard to ensure it doesn’t spread to other areas of the field.

Firefighters say gusts of wind are providing a challenge as these help the fire to spread.
