SAFFRON Walden hosted its first Home Efficiency Show at the town hall on Saturday.
And it proved to be a success, not only because it attracted many visitors but also because of the high level of interest in the products and services on display.
As might be expected at this time of the year, there was a strong interest in home insulation for properties of all ages.
However, more surprisingly, there were also many enquiries about photovoltaic panels which generate electricity on brighter days.
Information about grants for loft and cavity walls insulation and for replacing old boilers can be obtained from Mark Wilson at Uttlesford District Council on 01799 510510.
The Home Efficiency Show was organised by the Sustainable Homes Network.Membership is free and if you would like to be put on the email mailing list please contact Peter Riding on 01799 502355 or peter@riding.co.uk
