Flood risk: council offers sandbags

SANDBAGS are being given out to people in Uttlesford to help them protect their homes from flooding.
Uttlesford District Council (UDC) is providing the sandbags, free of charge, at their council depots in the Shire Hill Industrial Estate, Saffron Walden, and the New Street, Dunmow.
People will be able to collect sandbags until 3pm.
UDC regrets that it will not be able to deliver sandbags to the districts affected areas. People who are unable to collect sandbags, but require them, should contact the council on 01799 510510.

Roads that are closed or severely affected by the flooding are the B1054 at Radwinter, the B1053 at Radwinter, the B1053 at Sampfords, the Great Easton to Tilty road, the B184 at Thaxted, the B184 at Dunmow and the B1057 at Church End, Dunmow.
