Passengers on Abellio Greater Anglia services through Uttlesford are facing delays or cancellations due to flooding.
Trains are having to run at a reduced speed between Elsenham and Newport causing delays of up to 45 minutes.
The disruption is expected to last until midday.
Passengers can use tickets on London Underground service between Liverpool Street and King’s Cross to us Great Northern Services, where tickets are valid between London and Cambridge.
A spokesman said: “We are sorry if your journey is affected by this problem. Network Rail Engineers are working as quickly as possible to resolve this problem to restore a normal train service.”
