THAXTED'S historic Guildhall hosted an outstandingly successful sale of Mother's Day flower arrangements on Saturday.
Members of the village's flower club had spent the day before making over a hundred flower arrangements and baskets.
These were so popular that customers flocked to the stall as soon as the first of them went on sale.
Every single arrangement had been sold by midday.
Thaxted Flower Club chairman, Jane Knight, said: "It was a fantastic morning. The profit of over �500 will go to local charities in Thaxted.
"It couldn't have been done without all the hard work of the club members and I would like to thank them and all our customers for making the event so successful.
"This was the third year we have done the stall and already people were asking if it would be here next year.
