Free fitness courses to start in Saffron Walden

A SERIES of free fitness courses are being offered to people in the area to help them lead a healthier lifestyle.
The courses are being run by Essex County Council's (ECC's) Adult Community Learning (ACL) and are aimed at helping people to tackle and prevent obesity.
Cabinet member for adults, health and community wellbeing Cllr David Finch said: "I am delighted that this programme is now available to the Essex community and I am sure that this will have a positive impact on the health and quality of the lives of the people of Essex."
The courses, listed below, are aimed at people of all abilities from beginners to the more experienced.
Saffron Walden: A 'stretching, toning and fitness for health and wellbeing' course is starting on Tuesday February 24 and runs for 15 weeks at the Saffron Walden County High School (SWCHS). Sessions are 7.30pm to 9pm.
A Tai Chi course starts on Thursday February 26 and runs for 15 weeks at SWCHS. Sessions are 7.30pm to 9pm.
A body hoops class starts on Thursday April 24 and will run for 10 weeks. Sessions are held from 9.30am to 10.30am at Chroma House in the Business and Technology Centre on the Shire Hill industrial estate.
Stansted: A 10-week yoga course will start on Thursday April 23 at the Peter Kirk ACL in Stansted. Sessions are 7.30pm to 9pm.
A six-week Pilates course starts on Thursday May 14, from 1pm to 2.30pm, at the Peter Kirk ACL in Stansted.
Great Dunmow: A 'stretching, toning and fitness' class will run for 10 weeks at the Helena Romanes School. Sessions are from 7.30pm to 9pm and start on Wednesday April 22.
