Everything is coming up roses for a Saffron Walden landscaping company commissioned to build a garden for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this month.

Tarquin Ellington, of TKE Landscaping Ltd, was asked to create a Victorian style garden at the world’s largest flower show which runs from Tuesday, June 30, to Sunday, July 5.

“We are working 13 hours a day to build a garden that would normally take 6 weeks in just 18 days,” he said last week,

“As a company we build new gardens of all kinds, many of them modern and contemporary so it is a great challenge to do something totally traditional to such a high standard.”

TKE Landscaping, based on Rookery Lane in Wendens Ambo, was established by Tarquin and Tracey Ellington in 1995 with much of its business garnered by word-of-mouth.

Mr Ellington added: “Everyone at the show is very positive and helpful, it’s so full of energy and enthusiasm and people like us that love this work.”

The show is run by the Royal Horticultural Society and is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
