RECORD breaking results were unveiled as students at The Bishop’s Stortford High School opened their GCSE results today (Thursday).

Ninety three per cent of Year 11 pupils achieved five A* to C grades - the highest ever for the school - and nearly one-third of all GCSE passes were at grades A* or A.

There were 81.3pc of students who gained five or more A* to C passes including Maths & English and every Year 11 student who sat GCSE exams achieved at least five passes at grades A* to G.

Acting Head Teacher Paul Noble said: “This is a truly outstanding set of results and I am especially pleased that our numbers of passes at the very highest grades are higher than ever, when reports suggest that the national trend is downwards.

“Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students and their teachers who have worked so hard to achieve these successes.”
