GCSE results: Helena Romanes pupils are top of the class

STUDENTS at The Helena Romanes School achieved 73 per cent five or more A*-C grades with some outstanding individual results.

Overall 57 per cent of students achieved five or more A*-C grades with English and Maths.

Headteacher Simon Knight paid tribute to the students’ hard work and the dedication of staff, the support of parents and the commitment of governors. He said: “These are a good set of results and are an accurate reflection of the effort and hard work of the students and staff.”

Top achieving students this summer include (in alphabetical order): Rebecca Agar from Felsted, Jack Bardsley from Thaxted, William Barnard from Great Dunmow, Julia Beck from Margaret Roding, Tom Birch from Braintree, Annie Carter from Great Dunmow, James Gray from Great Dunmow, Nina Griffiths from Felsted, Amy Hollis from Thaxted, Lauren Locke from Great Easton, Ben Martin from Great Dunmow, Matthew Mercer from Great Bardfield, Kerry O’Donovan from Barnston and Max Turner from Rayne.
