NEWPORT Free Grammar enjoyed another set of positive results with a quarter of students earning A* and A grades.
The school had 98 per cent of its students achieve five passing grades with 66 per cent gaining five A* to C grades, including English and Maths.
Outgoing headteacher Sean O’Hagan said: “We are pleased with another strong performance, particulary those at the top end of the ability range. It is pleasing to see those individuals do so well.
“These results are the culmination of a lot of hard work from students and staff alike. All the students and staff should be congratulated on this excellent performance. We would also like to thank the parents for all their support.”
