THE Geology and Fossils of Essex will be the subject of Saffron Walden Museum Society's next meeting.

Guest speaker Gerald Lucy, a geologist and author, will talk about the 80-million-year geological history of Essex. He will highlight many of the geological sites in Uttlesford and some of the fossils in the collections of Saffron Walden Museum.

The talk is being held on Monday February 8 at 8pm in St Mary's Parish Rooms. Guests are always welcome. Entry is £3, free for under-16s.
