Get ‘up close and personal’ with your local fire fighters as station open days are held across Uttlesford

FIRE stations across Uttlesford are opening their doors and inviting the public to join them at a series of summer open days.

They offer the whole family a free fun day out and the chance to meet your local crew, have a close up look at the fire engines and see first-hand what it takes to be a fire fighter.

Many of the stations taking part stage fire fighting and rescue demonstrations throughout the day as well as delivering fire safety information.

The open days run from 10am to 4pm unless stated otherwise.

The open days take place at Thaxted on Saturday (June 15), Great Dunmow on Saturday June 29, Saffron Walden on Saturday July 6 and Stansted on Saturday September 7.
