When Debbie Williams arrived to give her talk on healthy eating to Gibson WI on February 1, members knew they were in for a treat.
Debbie is an area trainer for Weight Watchers and had travelled all the way from Dovercourt to give her first talk to a WI meeting. She came armed with a homemade cake. Debbie told members how Weight Watchers had first started from very humble beginnings in an American lady's kitchen in 1963 before arriving in the UK in 1967. The next meeting will be on Thursday, March 1 at the Abbey Lane United Reform Church at 7.45pm. The speaker Christopher South from Radio Cambridgeshire will give a talk entitled Snap Out Of It.
Visitors and new members are welcome.
