BUDDING actors performed in Saffron Walden on Saturday ahead of their production of an iconic 1970s rock musical.
Members of Saffron Walden Musical Theatre Company (SWMTC) Youth Group were in the Market Square to promote the hit musical Godspell.
A show by Stephen Schwartz, Godspell is based on St Matthew's gospel, and tells the story of Jesus through a variety of dramatic techniques ranging from physical theatre to pantomime. Scores include the songs Day by Day and Prepare Ye the way of the Lord.
Following on from the overwhelming success of Blitz! earlier this year, SWMTC Youth Group will be presenting Godspell from Wednesday November 18 to Saturday November 21.
The show is being directed by West End musical performer and Saffron Walden resident Sarah Clark.
