It will be a summer night with a difference at Audley End when the classic film Grease is shown at a charity open air cinema.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) is screening the movie on Saturday September 23.

There will be a barbecue and live band, although guests can take their own picnic. The film, featuring songs such as “Summer Nights”, begins at sundown.

Polly West, EACH Cambridgeshire community fundraiser, said: “We’re really excited to be screening such a popular family film as Grease and have a fantastic night full of music, singing and entertainment in store, so we look forward to being joined by lots of Pink Ladies and T Birds!”

Money raised will go towards care for children with life-threatening conditions across the region and to family support.

Tickets cost £12. There is no reserved seating so people are advised to take blankets and collapsible chairs. Gates open at 6.30pm
