The charity Support 4 Sight launched its tea party campaign on Saturday, August 13 at Jubilee Gardens in Saffron Walden, raising £300.

Among the guests were the Mayor of Saffron Walden Councillor Sarfraz Anjum and Bake Off finalist Ian Cumming.

Entertainment was provided by The Mad Hatter, John Byatt and cellist Anna Scott.

The charity’s spokesman Mary Martin said: “Thank you to everyone who kindly donated cakes and raffle prizes. Thank you also to our fantastic team of volunteers who worked hard all day to ensure everyone had a lovely time.

We have prepared special fundraising packs for people to give their own tea parties which includes a recipe especially created for us by star baker, Ian Cumming, finalist of The Great British Bake off.”

The party packs are available from Support 4 Sight at 2-4 George Street, Saffron Walden. If you would like to host a Support 4 Sight Tea Party, contact Natalie on 01799 523700 or emailfundraising@support4sight.org.uk
