Hundreds of people flocked to Sewards End on Saturday (June 20) for a day packed with entertainment.

Teenagers were given the chance to get behind the
wheel at the village’s Summer Fete. Roadways were cut into surrounding fields for the youngsters to drive in
dual-controlled cars, making it one of the most popular events of the day.

While children lined up for the driving experience, adults flocked to traditional stalls.

The china smash and
coconut shy were firm
favourites on the day, which saw more than 500 people go along, and raise £3,500 for Sewards End Village Hall renovation, St James Church and a parents and toddler group.

So difficult was the day to dampen, the swimming pool was in use throughout.
